Wizard of Oz Munchkin Mix
|

8 cups popcorn
3 cups pretzel sticks or rounds
1 cup M&M's (for Auntie Em)
1/2 cup animal cookies 9 (especially lions, tigers, and bears -- oh my!)
1/4 cup green gumdrops (for emeralds)

|
|
Mix all of the above ingredients together and serve in metal funnels - like the Tin Woodsman's hat!)

Wizard of Oz Melted Witch Punch
|
|
|
1 envelope green Kool-Aid
1 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda
|
|
|
|
|
Mix one envelope of green Kool-Aid, as directed and pour into one large punch bowl. Add one 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda and stir. Float a black paper plate or a costume witch's hat on top.

|
Tornado Cake
|

|
1 package white or yellow cake mix
Food Coloring
White or Vanilla Frosting
|
|
|
|
|
Make the cake according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into whatever size cake pan(s) that you want.
Squeeze drops of different food colors scattered over the top of the batter. Use a knife to cut through the batter using a swirling motion. This will mix in and mix up the colors.
Bake the cake and cool. Frost with a white frosting. This time squeeze a few drops of black or dark blue food coloring on to the frosting. Then use a toothpick to swirl cyclone shapes into the white frosting.
This cake serves 8 to 12 and takes approximately an hour and a half including prep time.

Feast of Crepes

12 eggs
2 liter of Milk
4 1/2 cups of flour
8 tablespoons oil
|
|
|
|
|
Prepare the dough the night before your party. Mix the flour, eggs, oil and milk together. You can work with an electric mixer. Using 3 little non stick pans, it takes 1 hour to make 70 crepes. Fill crepes with any filling you would like….sweets, fruits, cake, etc.

Hide and Seek Muffins

Here is one that looks like fun. The strawberries hide inside the muffin batter, like "magic":
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 Tbs. melted butter
12 small strawberries
2-3 Tbs. sugar for the strawberries

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix first 5 ingredients in mixing bowl.
Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter in another bowl; whisk 20 times. Add to dry ingredients, mix just until combined.
Fill paper muffin cups halfway with muffin batter. Roll each strawberry in a little sugar, and push one into each muffin cup. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool at least 10 minutes before eating.

Little Miss Muffins

3 ounces cornmeal
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbs. honey
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 cup water

Preheat oven to 425°.
In large bowl combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl, and mix well with fork until blended. Stir wet mixture into dry ingredients. Divide batter evenly into non-stick mini muffin pans. Bake 12 minutes until lightly browned. Remove muffins to cool.

Delicious Apples

2 tbsp. margarine
4 small sweet apples, cured, cut into rings 1/4 inch thick
6 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In large nonstick skillet, melt margarine over medium heat. Add apples, cook stirring frequently until apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
Cook, stirring 3 minutes. Serve hot or cold. (4 servings)

White or wheat bread
American Cheese
Cheerios
Raisins
Carrot Pieces or Cherry Tomatoes
Red Apple Slices
Turkey or Ham (optional)
Mayonnaise
3" Round Cookie Cutter

Make sandwiches with desired fillings…turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, cheese etc….with or without mayonnaise.
Then take 3" round cookie cutter and cut sandwiches into a round shape.
Take single slices of American cheese and cut with 3" cookie cutter and place one slice on top of each sandwich.
Use cheerios with a raisin in the middle for eyes, piece of carrot or small cherry tomato cut in half for the nose, add an apple slice for the mouth…smiley face up!

Auntie Em's Potato Chip Chicken

Just dip chicken in melted butter then roll it in crushed potato chips!
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes on each side.
