Introduction

Linda Kaye's Birthdaybakers Partymakers has created four exciting new ways to transform your child's birthday into an unforgettable event at the American Museum of Natural History.

Every Partymakers celebration blends learning and wonder with traditional birthday party fun. Each birthday child shines in a chief role leading the party and is made to feel like a star.

Parties are designed for children ages 4 - 10. The maximum number of children per party is 24. Parties can be held 7 days a week for a length of either 1.5 or 2 hours!

Party Descriptions

• Underwater Treasures THEMED PARTY FAVORS AND EXTRAS
  (Ages 4-8)

  Dive through 20,000 leagues of birthday fun in the Millstein Hall of Ocean Life, where the birthday child and friends examine the wonder of life beneath the waves. The Master Mariner and his first mates will spot a broad spectrum of sea creatures--from octupi and giant squids to hammerhead sharks and dolphins. Get ready to be awed by the giant of the sea - the Great Blue Whale!

  
  

• Safari Adventure THEMED PARTY FAVORS AND EXTRAS
  (Ages 4-8)

  The birthday child and friends will trek through the Hall of African Mammals on a fantastic adventure stretching from the heart of the jungle to the grassy plains. Peering beneath the brims of their pith helmets, party guests will track mammoth elephants, lions, gorillas, and other wildlife through this historic exhibit. Of course, the birthday child rules the day as King of the Jungle and should practice a mighty roar in advance.

  
  

• Dinosaur Discoveries THEMED PARTY FAVORS AND EXTRAS
  (Ages 4 and above)

  Two hundred million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the earth, only to disappear and leave nothing but fossils behind. As Expert Paleontologist, the birthday child guides guests as dinos leap forward through our 3D art collection. Partygoers will be at the edge of their seats as they explore the Dinosaur Hall. Learn how paleontologists use such evidence as tracks and bones to unravel the mysteries of these tremendous animals.

• Cosmic Blast-Off THEMED PARTY FAVORS AND EXTRAS
  (Ages 7-10)

  Calling all space heroes! Get ready for the most exciting galactic adventure this side of Jupiter. The birthday child pilots the party as Astronaut-in-Command and leads the way through the solar system at the Rose Center for Earth and Space. A stopover at the Hayden Planetarium is also available at an additional cost during the interstellar flight.

• Partymakers is decorating cakes again!
  “Decorate-A-Cake” Activity
  (an add-on to any theme; for 2 hour parties only)

  Oh no! Our baker forgot to decorate the birthday cake! We need help from your budding chefs to liven up this confection! This exciting activity can be added to any of the themes above. The party guests will create the decorations for the birthday cake using pastry bags and imagination.
  Hope your guests are hungry for fun! .

Hours

Parties can be held any day of the week between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm.

Bookings

Parties are available for Members of the American Museum of Natural History at the Contributor level of $195.00 or above*. To plan a party, call Linda Kaye's Birthdaybakers Partymakers at 212-288-7112. Plan in advance to ensure your date and time.

DECORATE A CAKE ACTIVITY ADDITION Added to 2 hour base price of any of the above parties

Includes: “Undecorated” Cake, Frosting, Pastry bags and tip, Additional Party helper, Chef Hat and Apron for birthday child

Party package includes: Invitations, Paper goods for the children (table covers, cake plates, and napkins), Admission to Museum (party guests and accompanying adults), Party coordinators and assistants.

Exhibits with admission charges will be in addition to the base party price.

Deposit

The base price of your party is due at the time of booking. Credit cards accepted. Balance is payable on the day of the party.

WEEKEND SURCHARGE: Please note that there is an additional charge of $112.00 to be paid directly to the Museum for custodial services for the Birthday Café on Saturdays and Sundays

Refreshments and Party Extras

Partymakers can provide you with all your party needs: birthday cake, party favors, and balloons. Parents, if they so desire, may bring in their own birthday cake. However, any additional food must be ordered with the Museum's caterer through Partymakers.

*Favors/Cake are subject to a Delivery Fee

*An Overtime Fee of $50 will be charged to parties exceeding scheduled party time
